Set up a peaceful space or find out quiet space where you and your child can sit comfortably without distractions.You can decorate the space with soft colours, seashells, or anything that represents the element of water.

Explain your kids about New Moon - Begin the ritual by explaining your kids about the importance of new moon. You can make them understand that its a special time when the moon is not visible in the sky and it marks the start of a new lunar cycle.

Intention and Feelings - Give your child a piece of paper and crayons or coloured pencils. Ask them to think about those things which they want in their lives such as good career, their goals, and any other positive change which they want in their lives. Write everything on a paper.

Light an earthen pot or candle - Candle or diya represents the light as it is the New Moon evening so the Moon is not visible and light is dim that's why lighting a candle and diya brings positivity in life.

Bowl of Water - Take a bowl and whatever they have written on a paper gently dip in that water. Explain that by doing this, they are infusing their all feelings, intentions, goals with the energy of the New Moon and the element of water.

Meditate - Teach your kids to meditate their goals and feelings by chanting Om and they are advised to take deep breathe in and out. They should repeat this process for almost 5 minutes by chanting "Om".
