Easing into October, we have a few not-so-spooky astrological events on our plate to kick things off.
In fact, the stars and planets are offering ripe opportunities at this time — let’s see where those opportunities lie.
Mercury, planet of communication and thought, will enter diplomatic and thoughtful Libra on the 4th. Closing out the week, Venus (planet of love and beauty) will move into practical, detail-oriented Virgo. It may just be the right week for making connections and advancing existing ones, too.
However, before we say that that’s the right call for you specifically, let’s get a more personal reflection on what’s to come. The Tarot has spoken, and your cards for the week are here.
With the 2 of Cups reversed you may feel more disconnected from others this week, prone to retreating into your own shell.
While you are not known for being shy, you can surprisingly be more hermit-like than others sometimes anticipate. When the independent bone within you is struck, you may feel more inclined to isolate yourself and take off on your own path.
There is nothing wrong with a little independence, but make sure that it comes from a genuine place of freedom and authenticity rather than fear or insecurity.
As the 6 of Wands indicates social recognition and a chance at being seen for who you really are, it’s time to really step up to the plate and let everyone know what you’re really working on, what you care about, and where your passions are held.
Now is not the time for humility or shyness. If opportunities arise, this is the week to take hold of the mic and speak up.
Go within and hear what your inner voice really has to say. The High Priestess hints that the answers to everything that you may be questioning already exist inside of you.
This is a wonderful week for some meditation or perhaps even a little divination session of your own if you practice card reading yourself.
But no matter how you like to connect with the intuitive voice within, this week is definitely the time to do so.
The Ace of Cups opens up opportunities for romance, love, and connection. For some Cancerians, this will be a prime week for flirtation and romantic affection to be exchanged.
For others, it may be more of a self-love week or just the right timing to schedule quality time with friends and loved ones.
It could also be a combination of a few or even all of the above! So long as you open your heart to the possibilities of love that surround you, anything love-related is still up for grabs for you this week.
More specifically, the King of Cups reversed forecasts cloudy skies in your own heart. You may feel anxious, more out of control, and confused and foggy within yourself.
Aside from the emotional and intuitive stagnancy and frustration, this can also lead to feeling like there’s nothing you can do to pull yourself out of the rut.
However, a small rut is only a small rut. You can get over this hiccup with some healthy doses of patience, self-forgiveness, and rest.
With The Moon reversed, life’s mysteries are still a point of frustration and fogginess. You may feel disconnected from your intuition, unsure of what the next best steps really are.
However, that doesn’t mean you have to give up and do nothing.
You may find more productivity will be found in silence — resting, reflecting, and asking more questions (instead of focusing on just answers).
Although the 9 of Wands is indeed mostly a card of silent observations and waiting before acting, it also teaches us about how “observation” is an action of its own kind.
While you may not be making wild steps and risks during this time, don’t be surprised if you still find yourself feeling just as tired by the end of the week.
Assist your body by providing ample rest, and avoid burnout by remaining cognizant of how tired you really feel throughout the week.
The King of Wands is a beacon of light and expertise, capable of being both occasionally adventurous and risk-taking while also composed and strong.
This week, you are called to take upon that mantle. Others may be looking to you for advice and guidance, and you’ll be expected to pursue anything you want a little more independently.
It may seem like a heavy burden to carry, but you are also strong enough to be the one to hold it.
The Hierophant is a message of traditional structures and systems of knowledge, but its reversal indicates that you’re putting those things aside right now.
You may feel more disconnected (even more than usual) from the status quo, called to the beat of your own drum. And older routines and habits that previously worked well may not click into place this week.
While familiarity falls to the wayside this week, you can allow innovation and creative thinking to take its place.
But this week, the 7 of Swords challenges your sense of ethics and the road you’ve currently been taking.
In any current projects, choices, and paths that you’ve committed to, you may be tempted to now seek shortcuts — after all, it seems like no one else has to work as intensely as you seem to have to.
Despite the temptation, this challenge is just that: a challenge. Just don’t mistake the temptation as a good opportunity, and you’ll make the right choices in the end, Capricorn.
This week, that much is obvious, given the 3 of Cups reversed on the table for you.
Although you may want to make connections with others (and it seems like that pursuit flows effortlessly for everyone else), the fun, lighthearted exchanges aren’t finding you as easily right now.
Miscommunications and misunderstandings are more likely to occur, so you may need to pull back and reflect before speaking from impulse.
The Chariot is a positive omen for any projects and ideas that you’ve been wanting to pursue (or already have been pursuing), but it’s also not something that pops up randomly.
It’s more likely that you’ve been actively working to manifest what you desire, putting in the appropriate amount of gratitude and self-work in order to feel worthy and deserving of it, too.
The Chariot is where tangible success meets your inner growth, and this week is the time for that “meeting” to flourish.
There are other ways you can still plan, however, that go beyond just reflecting upon the insights delivered by the cards. Here are some useful resources that will help you connect with the energy of this week more clearly:
