The Best Foods for Each Zodiac Sign

While things like spinach or kale may be considered universally healthy, certain chemicals and minerals are processed differently by each sign. In fact, there is a unique and special mineral for each sign, and each sign should focus on making sure that they are receiving enough of it.

Aries

Aries’ mineral is potassium phosphate. Aries rules the head, which is associated with perception, thought, and common sense. Physically, imbalances in the diet or health of an Aries can result in headaches, head congestion, migraines, and sinus infections. Potassium phosphate is crucial for you, Aries, and making sure that you’re getting enough can prevent depression and mood imbalances.

Foods that contain this mineral include lentils, brown rice, onions, olives, walnuts, lettuce, cauliflower, bananas, figs, broccoli, pumpkin, and cucumbers.

Additionally, Aries should avoid too much salt, which can cause bloating and issues within the arteries, as well as alcohol, which negatively affects the kidneys.

Taurus

Taurus rules the throat and neck, and poor diet can result in neck pains, sore throats, laryngitis, and glandular issues. Your unique mineral is sulphate of sodium, which allows for proper hydration and throat health. It’s important to make sure that you get enough of this mineral in your diet to avoid a stiff neck, sore throat, or other issues in that area of the body.

There are many foods that contain sulphate of sodium: cauliflower, horseradish, cucumber, spinach, pumpkin, onion, asparagus, beets, cranberries, and raw nuts.

Taureans should avoid rich diets that contain a lot of starch, sugar, or fat, as this can contribute to weight gain and other health issues.

Gemini

The shoulders, arms, hands, and lungs are ruled by Gemini, and poor diet can result in respiratory infections, asthma, and bronchitis, among other health issues. The mineral that Geminis should pay special attention to is potassium chloride, which allows for the proper creation of fibrin in organs, blood, and tissues.

Foods that contain potassium chloride include oranges, peaches, spinach, green beans, celery, tomatoes, carrots, asparagus and wild rice.

Stimulants should be avoided, as they trigger the nerves and can cause anxiety. Too much coffee isn’t a good thing to include in your diet—try replacing it with small amounts of green tea, which contains far less caffeine.

Cancer

Cancer rules over the breasts and stomach, which means that dietary issues can lead to digestive problems, weight gain, and even anxiety. Your cell salt is calcium fluoride, which keeps the body’s connective tissues elastic and healthy.

It’s important for you to get plenty of the following foods in your diet: whole grain rye, fish, oysters, egg yolks, beets, and yogurt. Foods with calcium, which is also important, include cheese, milk, tomatoes, and okra.

Cancers should avoid too much salt, sugar, or starch in their diet. Salt can cause bloating, while sugars and starches can cause constipation.

Leo

The spine, back, and heart are ruled by Leo. You’re prone to push yourself too hard, which can lead to back problems, which yoga can help combat. Magnesium phosphate is the mineral that is crucial for a Leo’s health, because it helps the nerves function properly.

It’s also important that you learn to cut out heavy and fatty foods as much as you can from your diet at a young age. These foods can lead to weight gain and other problems.

Virgo

Virgo rules the intestines and the nervous system. Poor diet can lead to indigestion, gas pain, bowel problems, ulcers, and colitis. It’s important for you to take in plenty of potassium sulphate, which prevents dandruff, dry skin, hair loss, eczema, fatigue, and constipation.

Foods high in this mineral include bananas, lemons, oranges, cheese, lean beef, lamb, whole wheat and whole grains, dark green veggies, and leafy greens.

You may have a deep love for chocolate, but it can upset your stomach. You may also wish to stay away from spicy or overly seasoned foods.

Libra

The lumbar region, the buttocks, and the kidneys are ruled by Libra. Balance is crucial for the Libran’s diet, the lack of which leading to kidney issues and breakouts of the skin. Your mineral is sodium phosphate, which allows for equalization between alkalis and acids in the body, thus providing balance.

Foods rich in this mineral include carrots, corn, spinach, beets, asparagus, almonds, brown rice, and oatmeal. You should also make sure that you’re getting enough protein.

Your skin is sensitive, and rich foods and alcohol can cause breakouts. Avoiding rich meals and cocktails will help keep your skin looking clear and fresh.

Scorpio

Scorpio rules the sexual organs, making that region of the body more sensitive than others. You can suffer from poor health brought on by emotional disturbances. Calcium Sulphate is an extremely important mineral for Scorpios, because it assists in reproductive health and helps the body form cells.

Asparagus, radishes, cauliflower, onions, tomatoes, figs, black cherries, and coconuts are all foods that contain calcium sulphate. Make sure you incorporate some or all of these foods into your diet when you can.

Scorpios should avoid big meals and instead focus on about four small meals throughout the day. Too much food can weigh you down.

Sagittarius

The hips, thighs, and liver are ruled by Sagittarius. Without proper diet and exercise, Sagittarians are susceptible to gout, sciatica, and hip problems. Exercise is very important for the Sag, as well as making sure to get enough silica into your diet. This cell salt contributes to healthy skin, hair, and gums.

Silica can be found in green peppers, raw salads, pears, strawberries, apples, potatoes, oats, whole grains, and egg yolk, as well as the skin of fruits and veggies.

Creams, butters, fats, candy, and chocolate should be avoided as much as possible by Sagittarians, as they can lead to weight gain. Alcohol can easily and negatively affect your liver, so try to imbibe as little as possible.

Capricorn

Capricorn rules the teeth, bones, joints, and knees. Your body is prone to issues such as arthritis and rheumatism and overworking yourself can lead to knee problems. Calcium phosphate is a crucial mineral for Capricorns, because it assists in bone formation.

Oranges, lemons, dandelion greens, cabbage, spinach, figs, celery, broccoli, and corn contain plenty of calcium phosphate, so make sure you’re eating enough of these foods.

Try not to eat the same foods consistently; make sure you’re switching your diet up and trying many new fruits and vegetables.

Aquarius

Aquarius rules the circulatory system, the shins, the ankles, and the calves. While generally healthy, you may suffer from issues with the circulatory system, which is why sodium chloride is important. This can be found in common table salt, but there are healthier ways to make sure you’re getting enough of this mineral.

Lobster, tuna, ocean fish, radishes, spinach, celery, squash, lentils, apples, peaches, and pears all contain sodium chloride.

Too much caffeine can make you feel nervous and jittery, rather than giving you energy. Try cutting back on your caffeine intake, perhaps by switching your coffee with gentle green tea.

Pisces

Pisces rules the feet, toes, and mucous membranes. You may be susceptible to colds, sinus issues, or water retention if your diet is not rich in vitamins and minerals. Ferrum phosphate, or iron, is extremely important for Pisces to make sure they include in their diet.

Foods with iron include lean beef, lamb, egg yolks, oysters, whole grains, beets, beans, barley, spinach, onions, and peaches.

Too much salt leads to water retention, which you are vulnerable too. Try cutting back on your salt intake, as well as coffee and alcohol, which can disturb the emotions.

Taking Care of You

As you can see, astrology can provide simple, easy ways to better take care of yourself, according to your own unique, specific needs. By incorporating the foods that are most important to your sign, you’ll begin to honor not only your body, but your astrological destiny.
